Jose (on the left) and Pancho (on the right) are two Totonaca activists working with the UNITONA, La Unidad Indígena Totanca Náhuatl, or Totonaca Náhautl United Indigenous organization.
I frequently attended meetings with them, sometimes as an observer, sometimes as a participant, throughout the Sierra Norte.
